NHRA Drag Racing Set to Return to Coos Bay Speedway
The 2026 drag racing season at Coos Bay Speedway is preparing to kick off with NHRA-sanctioned 1/8-mile drag racing, pending favorable weather conditions over the next several days. If the grounds are able to dry out enough, the tentative opening weekend for the dragstrip is scheduled for March 20, 21, and 22.
Track crews will be monitoring conditions closely as we work to get the facility ready for racers and fans. Early spring weather on the Oregon Coast can be unpredictable, but we are optimistic that a few good dry days will allow us to move forward with opening weekend.
Racers should stay tuned for updates as the date approaches. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the dragstrip for another exciting season of NHRA drag racing at Coos Bay Speedway.
