King Of The Track Weekend POSTPONED

With rain comes the Postponement of King Of The Track weekend until October 16 & 17. Over 2 inches of rain is forecasted to hit the Coos Bay Speedway starting later Friday (tonight) and rolling through the weekend forcing speedway officials to pull the pin on all three days of drag racing. So with that, the King Of The Track Wally will be given away on the last two-day show of the season October 16 & 17.

Friday's events are very iffy as to the time the water rolls in, it could be a misty rain prior to the scheduled rain time so we decided to cancel them to keep everyone safe and to avoid having to issue rainchecks. We will look at the schedule to see if we can find another available Friday night to add, to make up this lost last street drag of the season.

It's time for the King Of The Track Weekend! One person will be going home with a coveted Wally should they win either Saturday or Sunday and beat out the point leaders for all local divisions in a new 16 man bracket. It's a fun time on The Strip At Coos Bay Speedway!

We will start things off Friday night with the final street drags of the season, come on out and see what your grocery getter will do on the 1/8 mile strip and get a time slip for every pass. Then Saturday and Sunday we will race to see who gets into the King Of The Track Bracket.

Good food available from the strips food truck, enjoy a great gyro, Philly cheesesteak sandwich, or even a good old bacon cheeseburger, and wash it down with an ice-cold 7 Devils Brew.

We have our eyes on the weather and will make a well-educated call on Thursday regarding the weekend's events, right now it's calling for 55% showers all three days. So that means we have 45% chance we will get the weekend in....! Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed!
