The 2019 version of Speedweek Northwest is set to get underway beginning Monday, July 8th at Siskiyou Golden Speedway in Yreka, California. The week-long spectacle will have visits to five different racetracks in six straight nights. The series will have drivers and teams from Oregon, Washington, California, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Speedweek Northwest has been a staple of the racing scene in the Pacific Northwest since 1998.

The lone night in the Golden State of California takes place on Monday at Siskiyou Golden Speedway. Last year the event was canceled due to the neighboring wildfires. It will be the first time since 2017 that the WST has ventured there. Then the tour will take the journey off of Interstate 5 and traverse Highway 42 to Coos Bay Speedway on the Oregon Coast on Tuesday, July 9th.

Wednesday, July 10th brings the 360 group to Willamette Speedway before trekking to the farthest northern location, Sunset Speedway Park. The date for SSP is reserved for Thursday, July 11th before the batch of officials and teams head back south for the final two nights. The closing two rounds will be hosted by Cottage Grove Speedway on Friday, the 12th, and Saturday, the 13th.

D.J. Netto is the reigning champion after a multi-car battle for the points title on the culminating evening in 2018. Michael Kofoid was the only multi-feature victor, with two wins, while Steven Tiner, D.J. Netto, and Willie Croft all achieve just a single win. All four drivers collected their first career Speedweek Northwest victories and was the first time in a long time that California has thoroughly dominated the series.

If you can only make a race or two don’t worry as we have you covered with live streaming lap to lap coverage courtesy of Dirt Oval TV. As in the previous four Speedweeks, it will be once again sanctioned by the Western Sprint Tour.
